Post options

The most important options to select from top to bottom are:

Visibility: Choose ‘public’ for non-sensitive information. ‘Private’ means the post to only be seen by admins and editors.

Publish: You can change the date of publication to schedule the post to be published in the future, or backdate it.

Pending Review: Tick this box if you want someone to review your post before it’s published.

AISEO: Don’t worry about SEO – we don’t need these pages to be found.

Category: Select the category ‘Handbook’ – this will prevent it appearing in our automated newsletter or searches.

Tags: Don’t add any tags.

Discussion: Untick the boxes ‘Allow comments’ and ‘Allow pingbacks and trackbacks’.

Saving or Publishing

Click ‘Save as draft’ to save your work without publishing.

Or, click ‘Save as pending’ to have someone review your work before it’s published.

Or, click ‘Publish’.

Go thorough the checklist and make sure:

  • The visibility setting is how you want it.
  • Add the category ‘Handbook’ if is missing.
  • Ignore the suggestion to add tags.
  • Click the slider disable ‘Share when publishing’ – we don’t want these posts popping up on Facebook!
  • Don’t worry about Rank Math SEO scores – we don’t need these posts to be found by the public.
