Talking to children and young people about climate change

How do you talk to children and young people about climate change without frightening them? How do we explain what’s happening?

These and similar questions have come up before in our meetings on other topics, so this week we’re making talking to children and young people about climate change the main topic.

We’ll have a few ideas to start the conversation and some ideas we can look at together.

If you’ve never been to Climate Conversations before you can be reassured the meetings are friendly and welcoming. It’s up to you how much you say, and there’s no need to know anything about the topics beforehand. If you’re concerned about what’s happening to our environment and you’d like to explore the topic with other people who feel the same then you’re very welcome to join us.
