How can we express or experience our emotions without feeling overwhelmed by them?
Climate Conversations is our peer support group for living in the climate crisis. There’s a lot to get our heads around and the scale and urgency of the crisis can be overwhelming. We aim to find ways to come to terms with what’s happening to our world, support each other and figure out what we can do to cope and make changes.
The topic for this meeting is our emotional response to climate news – it feels like it’s been even scarier than usual the last couple of weeks. Psychologists say it’s important that we let ourselves feel what’s going on emotionally instead of trying to suppress our anger, sadness or grief. But how do we go about doing that?
