Feeling inadequate about what we’re able to do about the climate emergency is recognised as a common climate emotion1Pihkala, Panu. “Toward a Taxonomy of Climate Emotions.” Frontiers in Climate 3 (2022). https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fclim.2021.738154..
Feeling inadequacy means being aware of how urgent and big the action demanded by the climate crisis is, and feeling unable to do enough. It is linked with feelings of powerless and helplessness.
