📢 A special community screening: The People’s Emergency Briefing

What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?

Join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing – an eye-opening 50-minute film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like:

🌧️ Extreme weather
🍞 Food security
🏥 Health
💷 Cost of living

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.

After the film, there will be an open discussion about what it means for our community and what we can do locally.

After the film, what happens next?

We know this film is a lot to take in, so we aren’t leaving people to figure it out by themselves.

Personal responses

We understand that the climate emergency can feel scary, overwhelming and a lot to take in. We have felt this ourselves.

Responses to the film can include:

  • being shocked or overwhelmed
  • relief it’s being talked about
  • feeling inspired to take action
  • not knowing what to think

There’s no right way to respond. We all process difficult information in different ways.

🪧We’re signposting participants to local activities and groups whose regular activities could be a good place to process feelings, connect or engage in something positive.
